With the wedding season fast approaching I’ve been a very busy lady and have a tendancy to forget to do certain things in my beauty regime (you seriously don’t want to see my hairy legs!) but one thing that I never forget is moisturising and this very nicely brings me to today’s topic of face creams. Whilst working for Body Shop there were regularly discussions between ladies at my parties over what they do / don’t do when it comes to skincare. More often than not people would use moisturiser in the mornings but skip it at night. Obviously the simple answer and the right thing to do, is to use moisturiser morning and night, but if you’re only going to do it once a day I would advise buying a good night cream and using it before bed. Night cream is typically much thicker than day cream. Incidentally don’t use night creams during the day (I know this may sound obvious), your make-up won’t sit well over it as its too thick and will leave your skin greasy and shiney. However applying it thickly before bed allows a good 7 hours of make-up free skin for it to work on.
I find I need both to use both, I suffer with dry skin after showering and its essential to moisturise before make-up in this instance as make-up can just dry skin out further. I’m always careful to buy a day cream specifically for use during the day, this will ensures its not too thick and will soak into skin quickly.
In these bitterly Cold winter months its particularly important to look after your skin, look out for a blog update soon about winter skin!

I cant guarantee that all of the beauty products I recommend will suit you. I only use products I personally think are good after trying them on myself and my clients but everyone’s skin is different and it’s possible to be allergic to anything. If at all possible, test products out on yourself before purchasing.
